Commissioned to design and make the set for the new musical, Shackleton. The brief was to create a set that was of the correct proportion for the young people in the cast, all items had to be of multiple uses and easily moved around the stage. The production was set in traverse and I took inspiration from the wooden planks from the wrecked HMS Endeavour shown at the start of the piece and the cold and rugged environment in the Antarctic. The individual set items were then utilised around the stage area to create craggy shelters for the crew. Presented at Interplay in Leeds by Leeds Youth Opera.
