I was commissioned to design and build an extremely simple set for the lighthearted new musical, Plague presented at the Edinburgh Fringe 2022. Plague is set around the fictional Yorkshire town of Bogsfield. The requirements were that it was to be easy to transport to Edinburgh, could be assembled by the cast in under 10 minutes and good value. The simple set consisted of a pair of doors representing the gates to the village and wooden stakes depicting the exterior walls. Props I had made for a previous production of Plague were also used again. The set was constructed from wood, painted, distressed and aged.
